Fusion Edit ft. Rangriti
I am a loyal follower of fashion! And just because I am a fashion and lifestyle blogger, it doesn’t mean that it’s a recent thing in my life. It has taken it’s own sweet time and I am still trying to improve my fashion sense day by day, you know how it is said there is always space for learning.
If you see, my style has always been towards the 90’s and old school. And recently, I was so much involved in western wear that I almost forgot the comfort of ethnic cotton pieces. So, I gave myself a week and tried four clothing pieces from Rangriti which I definitely loved and can wear almost anywhere and everywhere now! Have a look!
Being bohemian is definitely one of the most trending topics! I have always admired people wearing bohemian outfits but somehow never tried one. Maybe because, I never had a piece that could give me exactly what I wanted. So recently, I found this beautiful blue cotton printed indie top from Rangriti which I paired it up with a pair of white ripped shorts. I could have worn jeans or a long skirt but since I wanted to keep the look bohemian, I opted for shorts with a choker and earrings. Wearing gladiators was not at all a bad idea to complete this look and it is so comfortable for the hot sunny days. Works well for college or concerts!
Modern Day Banjaran
A shirt with a skirt? Now this is something which everyone has tried and I love how everyone infuse their own element to it. It gives that carefree and free spirited vibe and you can walk with confidence, anywhere you go. Tuck in your shirt and you will be ready to go for work, button it down for shopping and look street smart every time with an ethnic touch to it.
I have always loved ethnic skirts and to get my Banjaran look in place for a sunny afternoon, I went in for a blue printed long skirt from Rangriti and paired it up with a chambray shirt. Layered a lot of silver jewellery for this one and walked through the dry crunchy leaves with payal on. My best out of the four looks!
Old is Gold
Despite the immense western wear trend these days, ethnic wear is still the preferred choice! With Indian clothing you can never go wrong and no matter how much you love the western culture, we can never get over kurtis and anarkalis. The vibe itself make you feel comfortable and confident. Recently, I got this anarkali set which is so versatile – just the plain kurta as a dress, the anarkali with the sheer cover up or the anarkali with pants. I decided to wear it as a dress with the sheer cover up as an off shoulder. Chunky jewellery, payal, bindi and a sleek hairstyle helped me complete my look.Wear this to work or for homely formal occasions!
Thank you to my office that I don’t have to wear formals every day to work. I have the liberty to wear what I like and I want. My work hours are kinda hectic and I generally prefer wearing shorts and a t-shirt. But this time I thought of getting some change to my daily outfits and decided to wear loose cropped indie pants. Now this is something which I have always worn with kurtis, so to break this, I went for a bustier. Paired it up with chunky earrings and a pair of heels. I loved the red and mustard combination and just in case, your office doesn’t allow you to wear sleeves clothing, this look is also perfect for college or a casual day out.
So these were the four looks, I recently tried! A big shoutout to Rangriti who helped me explore my style in fusion clothing. They are affordable and you can play with Indian – ness in your own unique way just like you say “Thoda match, thoda mismatch”.
